Greetings!

I’m excited to join the Northern High School Family! Go Nighthawks!!! I am extremely excited to partner with students, staff, parents, and school community! I'm very passionate about building strong relationships, the art of teaching and learning, supporting others, and helping students reach their full potential. I look forward to meeting each of you.

My commitment to serving students and school communities has spanned over 25 years. I believe in building strong partnerships, optimizing the gifts and talents of all, and empowering others to reach their goals. Most of all, I'm committed to the growth and development of each student. Seeing students learn and grow truly fuels my soul. I believe I am called to serve students and schools and consider this work a labor of love, respect, passion, and service.

As a lifelong learner, I am committed to excellence in education. Most of my professional career has been spent serving various communities here in the Guilford County, except for teaching a year in Rockingham County at Reidsville Intermediate, and teaching abroad in Bexhill-On-Sea, England at Pebsham Primary School. I have been a school administrator for over 18 years, serving both as an assistant principal for over five and principal for ten years. I received both my Bachelor and Master’s degree from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Additionally, I achieved my National Board Certification as a Middle Childhood Generalist and later completed graduate studies as an Educational Specialist with Superintendents Licensure at Appalachian State University.

Educationally, I believe that everyone has unique talents that add to the collective group and it is that uniqueness that makes us appreciate each other, better, stronger, and wiser together. I believe in creating a culture of high expectations and success while supporting students as they evolve and achieve positive growth and academic gains. I’m looking forward to an amazing year as a part of the Nighthawk Nation!
