Thank you for visiting my website. I joined the EC staff at Northern Guilford High School in January of 2020. My role is to support Inclusion Classes by Co-teaching with the amazing Math teachers at NGHS. I serve students in Math I, II, III, and IV. I teach a Resource Math I and Study Skills Classes independently. In December of 2022, I completed and passed EdTPA and the state requirements to be a licensed EC Teacher.

Before NGHS, I worked at an independent school in Greensboro and at our family’s swim and tennis club. While most of my professional career I have been a writer and researcher, I have been passionate about teaching as a parent of five children, a coach in tennis and volleyball, and as a staff member for two U.S. Senators.

My extended background includes attending an all-girls school in New Jersey and, after that, American University in Washington, DC. I spent several years working for the U.S. Senate before writing for lobbyists and non-profits. When I was hired to work as an In-School Restriction teacher, I found that I loved to help students struggling with a variety of problems. I attended George Mason University for a Master’s Degree in Special Education but didn’t complete the student teaching component because I had five children under the age of five! Before moving to North Carolina, we had a working horse farm in Northern Virginia. For the past ten years, I’ve lived in the Greensboro area with my husband and five kids (two away at college and three in high school). While here, I’ve helped my husband get our club up and running for business and worked at a private school. Outside of school, you might see me out running, playing tennis or attending a high school sporting event!

I look forward to working with your children!
