    THE 6TH GRADE VISUAL FINE ARTS CLASS IS ALL ABOUT FALLING IN LOVE WITH ART AND EXPRESSION!

    THE 7TH GRADE VISUAL FINE ARTS CLASS WILL BROADEN ARTISTIC HORIZONS AND TRANSFORM SPACES!

    THE 8TH GRADE VISUAL FINE ARTS CLASS WILL EXPLORE THE CONNECTION OF ART AS A BUSINESS!

     

    Course Description 

    Junior Artists will learn how to: use the language of visual arts to communicate effectively; apply creative and critical thinking skills to artistic expression; and create art using a variety of tools, media, and processes, safely and appropriately. Student will also gain an understanding of the: global, historical, societal, and cultural contexts of the visual arts; interdisciplinary connections and life applications of the visual arts; as well as use critical analysis to generate responses to a variety of prompts.

    When can I work on the course?  

    • Junior Artists will receive their required visual mediums, instruction and time to complete their course during class. If additional virtual resources are needed, they will be provided on my canvas page. 

    How much time should I spend on the classes? 

    • Time management will be important throughout this course. Each artist will learn at a different pace, and the time commitment will be different for all artists.

    How do I communicate with my teacher? 

    • Artists can use the inbox on Canvas, as well as the contact information on the homepage. If an artist contacts me during the week, they can expect a response within 24 hours. Students who contact me over the weekend can expect a response the following Monday.
