#EquityWednesday
Equity Wednesday in Context
Equity Wednesday is a call to action for our GCS community to intentionally participate in discussions, and self-excavating practices that allow us to center equity in professional learning communities, our homes and more!
Equity Wednesday is an independent team-building opportunity for rich team dialogue on issues centering educational equity.
We publish monthly themes on our Google Site, loaded with helpful resources for educators, students and caregivers alike. These resources are purposeful for engaging questions our "Discussion" tab where you and your team, family, peers, can interact with other site users and critically think about questions centered on educational equity. E quity Wednesday discussions are meant to be thought-provoking and action oriented. DEI envisions the Equity Wednesday discussion as a critical reflection following your SEL opener. Check out the Equity Wednesday site to participate!
Lastly, we host a live Equity Wednesday convening every last Wednesday of the month. Check out our calendar below for more information.
Equity starts with YOU!
We need you to participate in this discussion. Your responses will help generate our monthly blog post as we reflect on our District’s participation in #EquityWednesday. Note, you will not be identified, we are just pulling the contents from your discussion.
