Good evening Ragsdale families, I hope you had a good weekend! this is Deanne Lowe CF. 

We have some information we would like to share with you about extra-curricular opportunities we have during this time of remote learning, your student’s academic progress, and a couple of important dates for seniors. 

For students looking to get involved in clubs at Ragsdale, be sure to check your "Class of …" canvas page for announcements about which clubs are holding meetings during remote learning.  

Writer's Club is a club dedicated to helping students explore their writing potential and share it with others in a private setting. If you are interested in joining the club, there is a Teams meeting on September 25th from 2-3 PM. You can find more information on the Clubs page under Students on the RHS Website. 

Student Council elections will be held online towards the end of September check with Mr. Moss for more information about that. 

Senior photos will be taken the week of Sept 21 and appointments can be set up through the link on the Ragsdale homepage.  Parents of seniors, also put Sept 22 on your calendar.  We will hold a Virtual Senior Meeting at 6:00PM with information about graduation requirements, the college application process, and other post-secondary opportunities.  We will post the link for this meeting on the Canvas Class of 20-21 page. 

Finally, grades will be current and updated in PowerSchool by the end this week.  The link to the PowerSchool Parent Portal is on our website under Parents and this is where you are able to access your student’s grades for a progress check.  Please email Ms Alker in the Guidance Department at alkera@gcsnc.com if you are unable to log in so we can assist you.
