Good evening Ragsdale families, this is Deanne Lowe, Curriculum Facilitator.

We are half way through semester one and reports cards are in the mail.  We wanted to share a few helpful, we hope, reminders with you about attendance and grades.

For the greatest chance at success, it is very important that students attend and participate in live instruction every day.  First quarter grades show that students who are doing this are succeeding.  To clarify the current attendance policy, students are counted as present based on their logging on to the Canvas platform every week.  However, once logged on, students need to attend live classes and submit assignments to earn a passing grade.  We encourage you to check your students’ grades in PowerSchool and to look at assignments submitted in Canvas.  Instructions on how to do this are on our website under the “Parents” tab and the “Remote Learning” tabs.

If your student currently has a grade below 49, please reach out to your guidance counselor who will help you develop a plan to move forward.

Caseloads are as follows by last name:

    A-C      Dr. Meadows

    D- H    Ms. Ladka

    I-M      Mr. Murray

    N-S      Dr. Smith

    R-Z      Ms. Reid

During this unusual and often difficult time, we are here to help in every way we can – please reach out.

Thank you and have a good evening.
