Good evening Ragsdale families – this is Deanne Lowe, Curriculum Facilitator.

Thank you for everything you’re doing to help your students move forward with their classes for Quarter 2.  Let’s keep working hard on attending live classes and submitting assignments.

We have some new and exciting Athletics and Study Abroad information to share with you!

Sports have returned to Ragsdale – Don’t miss out!  Go to our athletic website https://ragsdaleathletics.bigteams.com/ to view the practice schedule for November.  Pick up the paperwork needed for all workouts in front of the Art & Athletics Building.  There will be a meeting on Friday 11/6/20 at 12:00in the football stadium to answer any questions or you can contact athletic director Deborah Jones at jonesd4@gcsnc.com.

Ragsdale has once again been awarded the Global Navigator Scholarship award of $25,000 for 9-11th grade students to study abroad during the summer of 2021.  Over the past three summers we have had 60 students travel to 18 different countries on over $200,000 of scholarship funding.  It is an exceptional opportunity for students to be able to study abroad during high school, and one that helps to build strong college and scholarship applications.  In these times where travel can be uncertain, I want you to know that if you’re interested in Study Abroad, it is important to apply now for the summer of 2021; the scholarships are flexible and we have students who were able to defer their study abroad from last summer to 2021.

There is a Study Abroad link on the Ragsdale website that will take you to the application which is completed online.  The program and scholarship application deadline is January 15th 2021 but don’t leave it to the last minute!

Please let me know if I can help you with your application by emailing me, Deanne Lowe, at lowed2@gcsnc.com.

Have a good evening and Go Tigers!
