Meet the ESL Teacher

Mrs. Palacios is a proud Cowgirl at the SW Ranch since 2019.  As an English as a Second Language Teacher, she works students who are developing English as a second or additional language to their native language.  She is available to help ELs in all content areas.  Mrs. Palacios is a second generation American.  She was born in New Jersey and comes from a family of immigrants; all her grandparents came to the United States from England, Denmark or Germany in the 1920s and 1930s. 

Like you, she is a language learner:  she speaks Spanish and conversational German.  Mrs. Palacios has taught Spanish and ESL for 15 years, including teaching a summer course in China in 2019. In addition to languages, Mrs. Palacios loves horses, puzzles, knitting, birdwatching and gardening.  Students can meet on her Homework Hub TEAM to work together or get individual support.  Please get to know Mrs. Palacios as a resource as you grow in your English proficiency.  Here’s how to reach her:
