Good Evening Ragsdale Families!
We are very excited to finally be able welcome our Cohort A 9th grade students with last names A-K into the building on Monday Feb 22nd, and Cohort B students with last names L-Z, on Thursday Feb 25th. We wanted to share some important information with you so that you know what to expect next week. Our goal is to make you feel as comfortable and safe as possible as you get acclimatized to Ragsdale.
The building will open at 9:30AM for students and the day ends at 4:25PM. In order to enter the building each day, students must complete an attestation form that can be found in a QR code on our website, or at front and back entrances, or on the CrisisGo App. Please do NOT come to school if you have to answer yes to any of the health screening questions as you will not be allowed in the building. Bus riders will be asked the same questions as they exit the bus each day. Masks are required to enter the building and should be worn properly the entire day.
Once in the building students will be able to pick up a printed class schedule if needed. These were also emailed out to all 9th graders last week. We will have Grab and Go breakfasts available for everyone. Staff members will be on hand to show students to their first block classes and they will proceed directly there without gathering in commons areas. There will be no movement around the building apart from transitions between classes as universal free lunch will be delivered to the classrooms. Students may bring their own lunches, but there will be no lunch deliveries allowed.
Teachers will continue to use Canvas as the foundation of their instruction and so students who are returning should bring their charged laptops to school daily.
We are very much looking forward to meeting our 9th graders in person. We realize this is a lot of information to process, and school will look a little different from what we’re used to but if we all follow these guidelines then we will be helping to look out for the safety of those around us.
This information will be on our website and in the Canvas Class of 2024 Course. As always, Go Tigers!
