High Point Choice-Zone Families

In choice-zone areas, rising 6th grade and rising 9th grade students have the option to attend their assigned home school or attend a choice-zone school.

• If your child is a rising 6th grader, they have an option to attend Welborn Middle School or Southwest Guilford Middle School for the 2024-25 school year. Students may remain at the school through 8th grade without reapplying each year.
• If your child is a rising 9th grader, they have the option to attend T. Wingate Andrews High School or Southwest Guilford High School for the 2024-25 school year. Students may remain at the school through 12th grade without reapplying each year.

Transportation

Transportation is included in choice zone schools. To ensure you can receive timely transportation information, it is important to update your student’s address information with your current school before the end of the school year. Transportation assignments will be assigned using your address in PowerSchool. More information on transportation will be communicated later this school year.
