Ms. Lee

Ms. Lee is a native of Brooklyn, NY. Ms. Lee came to Greensboro, NC to attend THE North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary in Women’s Studies. Her desire and passion to work with children provided her the opportunity to walk into one of the greatest careers in the world Education (Teacher). Ms. Lee taught as a master educator with over eight years of experience in the secondary classroom teaching Biology. She has gained experience teaching Earth Science and IB Biology. She has taught here at Ben L. Smith High School for those years. She consistency showed growth in developing her teaching skills for herself and her students. Her motto is “Failure is an opportunity to grow”. She completed her certification with Guilford County School Alternative Licensure Track program where she was taught important skills to fulfill the role of a classroom teacher. She was rewarded “Teacher of the Year” (2014) and “Distinguish Teacher” (2016). Her passion and desire to have a greater influence and impact on the lives of students, teachers, families, and the community empowered her to return to school to obtain her Master in Middle and Secondary Science Education and Post-Master’s Certificate in School Administration from UNCG. Outside of her school responsibilities and duties, Ms. Lee enjoys spending time with family and friends, making memories with her son, shopping, and traveling.

Ms. Lee has transitioned into her new role at Ben L. Smith High School as the Dean of Students. She is excited to continue to be apart of the Smith Family. As always, remember that you were “Born to Grow” and therefore you can keep moving in the direction of success
