    Pantherettes Auditions: 4/21/24 @2:00 PM

    • Auditions are closed to anyone who is not auditioning. The Library will be the waiting/support room for parents, family members, and friends. Please feel free to bring food and snacks for yourself. However, scholars who are auditioning cannot have food until after they audition. Also, doors open at 1:00 PM and will close at 1:30 PM sharp for family who come to support them. No one will be allowed to enter after 1:30 PM. 
    • Arrival Time = 1:30 PM Sharp (Anyone who is late will not be allowed to audition. Doors open at 1:00 PM and will close at 1:30 PM Sharp. No one will be allowed to enter after 1:30 PM.)
    • Each scholar will be given a number on audition day. Please create number tags by using white computer paper. Please attach your number to the front and the back of your body; make it large and visible for the judges to see (your coach may have your numbers prepared).
    • Upon arrival, please turn off your cell phones and put them away in one of your bags. If it makes any noise (rings/vibrates) and it is heard, you may be asked to leave the auditions due to noncompliance. Cell phones are not allowed at auditions.
    • Please arrive to the audition ready in terms of outfit, no jewelry, hair, and makeup. It is understood that some have come from the prom the day before and may have fake nails. If this is the case, nails will be allowed for auditions on Sunday. However, there will be no special consideration given to those who do have fake nails if there are issues with twirling. Everyone will be scored in the same way. During the regular season, fake nails are not allowed. (Anyone not audition ready will not be allowed to audition and asked to leave.)
      • Plain White T-shirt
      • Blue or Black Boy Cut or Shoffe Shorts
      • White or Black Stockings or Leggings
      • Tennis Shoes
      • Hair (Pulled Back Ponytail Style)
      • Light Makeup (Foundation, Lipstick, Eyes)
    • All who are auditioning will stretch and warm-up from 1:05 – 1:35 PM. From 1:35 – 1:45, everyone will touch up their appearance. At 1:45, all scholars should be in the dance room ready for your number to be called. (You may continue to stretch as you wait for your number to be called.)
    • Please make sure you eat prior to auditions. Eating at auditions is not allowed. Please have your inhalers. Water will be provided as desired, but you must have a water bottle and a snack after you audition.
    • There will be a panel of judges who will evaluate each scholar on the following: Strut/Stand Dance, Flag/Baton Routine, Dance Feature, and Apperance for a total of 75 points.

    Who can Audition?

    Any girl who has auditioned this school year already and any current or new Dudley scholar who desires. Everyone must have attended MBOT clinics.

    What time will I have to report for auditions?

    You can arrive as early as 1:00 pm. However, the doors will lock at 1:30 pm. If you are late, you will not be allowed to enter or audition.

    If I happen to be out of town that day, can I send in an audition video or audition at a later date?


    Can I have fake, long, or colored nails?

    No, you cannot and natural nails must be cut short. This is for the entire season. 

    Can I wear jewelry?
