Greetings Tiger Family

I am Mr. Freeman, and I am excited to be here at Jamestown Middle School!  I will be serving in the role of 7th Grade Counselor this year.  I am a 2-time graduate of the historical North Carolina A&T State University (AGGIE PRIDE)!  I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work and a Master of Science Degree in School Counseling.  I have had the opportunity to work with students in grades K-12.  Education is truly important to me, and I value what it can provide all individuals.  This is especially true for students.  Prior to working in education, I worked in human services with children and adults with disabilities.

Middle school is a great time for students to start discovering their interests and start planning for their high school academics.  I plan to meet with students to help them start to focus on these interests.  I  am excited to meet with students individually, in small groups, and in classrooms.  As a School Counselor, I don't only focus on academics and future career goals, but I also on the social/emotional development of all students.  I want to help "Build The Whole Child" so they can grow to be future mature adults in society.  Working closely with parents/guardians, teachers, administration, and staff is a must!  This is to ensure each student is receiving all the support they may need through these growing years.
