I am new to Northern this year and am happy to be a Nighthawk!

I studied English Education and American Sign Language at UNCG. In my first year of teaching, I was named "Rookie Teacher of the Year."

So far, I've taught English 9 and 10 and AP Language & Composition. One of my favorite parts of teaching English is helping students grow empathy by listening to others' stories and empowering them to share their own stories effectively.

In my free time, I love to read, spend time with my husband, and snuggle my precious Schnoodle, Charlie.
