Ms. Caroline Spaugh

Hello! Welcome to the 2022-2023 School Year!

My name Is Ms. Spaugh ("Spa") and I am so excited to serve as Southern Elementary's Academically Gifted (AG) Teacher this school year! 

This is my tenth year in Education, my second year doing full-time K-5 grade AG services, and my first year at Southern. I am a proud graduate of High Point University, where I received my B.A. in Elementary Education in 2013 and my M.Ed with a concentration in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Education in 2014. I received my AG Licensure in May 2021 from Salem College in Winston-Salem. Before I became an AG teacher, I was a classroom teacher for eight years (one year in second grade and seven years in third grade). I split my teaching time between two schools. This year, I will be at Southern on Thursdays and Fridays to work with our wonderful AG students! Please feel free to contact me if you ever have questions about the AG program.
