Masters of Education

Sis. Miranda

I am Sis. Miranda (she/her/hers). I am a veteran educator. This is my tenth year as an educator with an array of experience in special and general education settings. I began my career in the Winston-Salem Forsyth County School district as an Exceptional Children's Teacher.  I taught in the Inclusion and Resource setting, primarily in English classes, for a number of years. I have worked at the middle school, the high school, and the alternative school level. I completed all of my undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of North at Greensboro. I hold a Bachelor's degree in English & African-American Studies as well as as Master's in Education. I currently teach some of the best scholars in the nation in High Point, NC in my English IIHN, English II,  and English III classes.  One of her life quotes is from her favorite author, Toni Morrison, "When you get these jobs that you have been so brilliantly trained for, just remember that your real job is that if you are free, you need to free somebody else. If you have some power, then your job is to empower somebody else." In my free time, you'll find me somewhere doing community work, working with my plants, or having a great cup of coffee. Catch me at the intersection of teaching, liberation and joy!
