Guilford County School's Fine Arts Department is proud to partner with Lang Lang International Music Foundation (LLIMF) to bring Keys of Inspiration® piano labs to our 2nd - 5th grade students at 10 elementary schools. These schools have dedicated a classroom space for their piano lab as well as a full-time music teacher who utilizes the curriculum created by LLIMF, to provide enriching and meaningful instruction to their students.
Keys of Inspiration® (KOI) is a music intervention program, focusing on selected schools nationwide with limited resources. With KOI, we are able to reach students of all backgrounds, and give them a chance to experience the power of music by encouraging piano performance at all levels as a means of social development for youth. The Keys of Inspiration® classroom provides students with a safe, creative outlet in school and gives them a chance to build self-confidence, develop a drive for excellence and a sense of achievement.
