Mrs. Sharon Baskerville

Welcome to my webpage! My name is Sharon Baskerville and I am the pre-k teacher here at Jamestown Elementary School. I started my teaching career in New York City in March of 1993, as an assistant teacher. Jamestown is currently my teaching home and has been for eight years. I previously worked as an educational specialist at the Partnership for Children in the community. I taught NC Pre-k at Guilford Child Development and Headstart for several years. It is my passion to intentionally give children a strong foundation and sense of self in a nurturing environment. It is my educational philosophy to help prepare children to become critical thinkers, problem solvers, and life-long seekers of knowledge, through play with hands-on learning experiences. My classroom promotes a sense of community for all learners. I am married 29 years and the mother of three beautiful sons. I enjoy spending time outdoors, traveling and having new experiences. I am a leader in the early childhood field. It is my vision to make a great impact on families, communities, and humanity.
