Good evening MTA families! Here are this week's updates. Please listen carefully, as I have a lot of information for you.

Thank you all so much for such a successful first week back. This past Wednesday, all students were issued a new OneCard. Students must have these cards to scan to get on the bus and when they enter our school building. If students lose this card, there is a $5 charge to get it replaced. If a student's card breaks, please have them bring the broken card to their teacher and we will order a replacement. Students who took pictures on our makeup day in November may not have received their OneCards. We will get them their cards as soon as their school picture is available. Thank you for your help in our OneCard efforts.

As we prepare for the end of this quarter, your child will be participating in lots of middle-of-year testing. Our K-3 students will participate in DIBELS and NWEA assessments and our 3-5 students will be taking NWEA assessments as well as their reading and math benchmarks. The 2nd quarter will end on January 26th and we will have our 2nd quarter report card pickup on Feb. 7th from 5 to 6pm.

Due to these upcoming assessments and the end of our quarter, our 3-5 students may be bringing their devices home each night and over the weekend. If this is the case, parents, please make sure that your child charges their device at night so that it is fully charged for school the next day. We also ask that you make sure that they return the device and the charger when they return to school the next day. Using their device, your child can get access to individualized instruction and practice at home but will need it at school as well. Muchas gracias a todos por una primera semana tan exitosa. El miércoles pasado, todos los estudiantes recibieron una nueva carnet de OneCard. Los estudiantes deben tener estas tarjetas para subir al autobús y cuando ingresan a nuestro edificio escolar. Si los estudiantes pierden esta tarjeta, hay un cargo de $ 5 para reemplazarla. Si la tarjeta de un estudiante se rompe, pídale que traiga la tarjeta rota a su maestro y ordenaremos un reemplazo. Es posible que los estudiantes que tomaron fotos en nuestro día de fotos en noviembre no hayan recibido sus OneCards. Les daremos sus tarjetas tan pronto como su foto escolar esté disponible. Mientras nos preparamos para el final de este trimestre, su hijo participará en muchas pruebas de mitad de año. Debido a estas próximas evaluaciones y al final de nuestro trimestre, nuestros estudiantes de 3 a 5 pueden traer sus computadoras o tabletas a casa cada noche y durante el fin de semana. Si este es el caso, padres, asegúrese de que su hijo cargue su aparato por la noche para que esté completamente cargado para la escuela al día siguiente. También le pedimos que se asegure de que devuelvan la computadora y el cargador cuando regresen a la escuela al día siguiente. Usando su computadora, su hijo puede tener acceso a instrucción individualizada y práctica en casa, pero también lo necesitará en la escuela.
