I am thrilled to be a part of the Southern Elementary community as the Academically Gifted educator.  I began my teaching career in Tennessee and taught there for 5 years before starting my family.  I have 3 boys of my own, 2 of whom still live in the area.  I returned to teaching in Guilford County Schools in 2006, teaching many elementary grade levels for another 15 years.  After completing a Master's of Education from Elon University, I moved into an AG position in 2021. I enjoy working with students to encourage their full potential.  Please feel free to communicate with me any time this school year.
