Unit II Macroeconomics
-
In unit II, students will investigate what the proper role of the U.S. government should be in promoting economic stability for all. As a class, we will examine how economists determine how well the U.S. economy is performing, and whether the government should use stabilizing actions to make it expand or contract. Students will also investigate whether the U.S. should regulate the economy to prevent abuse, or allow the natural forces of the economy to adjust to resolve issues. Lastly, students will determine whether promoting free trade or protectionism is the best policy to assist the U.S. in achieving a favorable balance of trade.
