I am super excited to join the Southwest Guilford Middle School Family as the 7^th Grade Co-Principal. My tenure in education began with GCS in 1997. I have served Guilford County Schools in many capacities: middle school teacher, elementary school assistant principal, high school assistant principal, high school principal, district-level administrator, and teacher evaluation trainer. I earned my bachelor’s degree in English from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University/Florida International University with a certificate in African New World Studies. I earned my Masters of School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

I enjoy traveling with my family/friends, baking, amusement parks, cuddling with my Golden Retriever, Nala, my grand dog, “Baby” and so much more. My son, Corey, is a 6^th grade language arts teacher at Jamestown Middle School. I am a native of Miami, Florida and consider North Carolina my second home.
