Mrs. Jennifer Moore

My name is Mrs. Moore, and I teach 5th grade Math and Social Studies at Johnson Street. I started my career as a 4th-grade teacher and happily moved to 5th grade in 2016. I have taught Math, Science, and Social Studies.

I received my formal education from High Point University. In 2008 I graduated with a BA in Fine Arts, and in 2015 I received my Masters in Education. Attending HPU was a truly exceptional experience, and if you ever want to ask me about it I would love to chat!

My favorite subject to teach is Math. Last year I received an award for achieving the top 25% student growth in Math for Guilford County Schools. I have also been nominated for the last 2 years for teacher of the year. Teaching is one of my true passions, and I look forward each year to meeting the next group of bright minds waiting to enter my classroom.

I believe that a teacher is obligated to enter the classroom with only the highest of expectations for each and every one of her students. Thus, the teacher maximizes the positive benefits that naturally come along with any self-fulfilling prophecy. With dedication, perseverance, and hard work, her students will riseto the occasion.

I strongly believe in each and EVERY student's ability to succeed, and I make it my personal goal each year to help them reach this final destination.
