• Good evening, Washington Families,

    This is principal Paul Travers with your weekly message.

     

    This week we will have different opportunities to engage in Bully & Drug Prevention Week. Tomorrow, all Washingtonians are encouraged to wear blue for World Day of Bully Prevention.

    Also, tomorrow morning the running Pathway will have practice at 7:45am.

     

    On Tuesday, October 3rd, 1st Quarter Interim Reports will go home. Please be sure to review these Interim Reports as they have specific information about your Washingtonians specific strengths and areas for growth.

     

    This Wednesday is National Walk to School Day. We will there will be opportunities for everyone to participate. The starting point for most of our walkers will begin at Ray Warren, 1306 East Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27406. If you happen to stay near the starting point, feel free to meet with the group to walk to school. If you do not live near the starting location and want to join us as we walk, we will have a car rider location at St. Stephen United Church of Christ, 1000 Gorrell St Greensboro, North Carolina 27406.

    Also, this Wednesday, students are encouraged to wear their favorite color to so their true colors by standing up to bullies and harmful drugs.

     

    This Thursday is Parent to PE Day. Parents are invited to come out and participate in their Washingtonian’s Grade Level PE Class. PE Times are as follows: 3rd grade from 8:15-9:00; 2nd grade from 9:10 – 9:55; Kindergarten from 10:05-10:50; 1st grade from 11:00-11:45, 4th grade from 12:40 – 1:25, and 5th grade from 1:35 – 2:20.

    Also, on Thursday morning the running Pathway will have practice at 7:45am.

     

    Looking ahead, next Tuesday, October 10th is Fall Picture Day.
