• Good evening Washington families,

This is Principal Paul Travers with your Weekly message.

Tomorrow, Monday October 23rd, our 4th and 5th graders will be taking a Field Trip to Kersey Valley. Our SAS clubs for Monday are Tiny Taste Buds and Sign Language.

Wednesday is Wear Red Day. This will serve as a reminder to live Bully and Drug Free lives.

Our SAS Clubs for Wednesday are Revamp Contemporary Dance and Fairy Tales.

This Friday, our 3rd and 5th Graders will be taking a Math Interim Assessment. Information from this assessment helps teacher better understand how to support our Washingtonians meet grade level expectations.

On Friday students are encouraged to dress up like their favorite superhero or wear a superhero t-shirt. This is to remind us that real heroes are not bullies and are drug free.

Also, on Friday, our Pre-K and Kindergarten Students will be taking a field trip to the Greensboro Children’s Museum Garden.

Your weekly Health and Wellness Tip for this week is: School, sports, and social media can all be sources of stress and anxiety for your child. Monitor their social media use and keep the communication lines open so you can identify bullying or other sources of stress or anxiety at school.

Looking ahead, October 30th will be fall individual picture day and October 31st will be dress as your favorite Book Character Day.

At Washington we Honor Community, Show Excellence and Think Critically.

Have a great evening, and let’s get 1% Better Every Day.
