Mrs. Stephanie Queen

Hi there! My name is Stephanie Queen, (like the Queen in the castle!) and I am your media specialist. The 2024-2025 school year is my 9th year here at Joyner, and my 15th year as a media specialist. I also teach a monthly class in the Makerspace!

I received my undergraduate degree from Western Carolina University, and my Master's from East Carolina University. 

I love being a librarian because I have always loved to read, and I love children's books and picture book artwork. My mission is to help every child find their new favorite book!

My favorite children's picture book is There Is A Bird on Your Head! My favorite chapter book is The Lightning Thief. I love to read fantasy books, science fiction books, and world mythology and folktales.

My class pet is Mango, the Library Lizard!  

I live here in Greensboro with my husband, Justin, and my 5-year-old daughter, Fiora. We also have a dog! He is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. His name is Angus, the boy detective!
