Happy New Year MTA families! Here are this week's updates.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, 1/2 is a teacher workday. Students return on Wednesday, 1/3. We hope that everyone will begin the year by being in their uniform and at school on time, before 7:45am. Please note that even though the temperatures have changed to be more winter-like students will be able to have outside recess so they will need to dress accordingly. I want to remind everyone that our school uniform is navy blue or jean bottoms with no holes or rips and a red, white, royal, or navy polo shirt.

Looking ahead, please note that the GCS magnet window opens in a couple of weeks, and, in light of Murphey closing at the end of this school year, I will be reaching out to provide whatever support is needed in preparing your student for next school year. If you have questions about Schoolmint or the magnet process, please don't hesitate to call the school at 336-294-7380. We are looking forward to a successful 2nd half of the school year. ¡Feliz Año Nuevo familias de Murphey! Aquí están las actualizaciones de esta semana.

Mañana, martes, 2 de enero es un día de trabajo para maestros. Los estudiantes regresan el miércoles 3 de enero. Esperamos que todos comiencen el año con su uniforme y en la escuela a tiempo, o sea antes de las 7:45 a.m. Tenga en cuenta que, a pesar de que las temperaturas han cambiado para ser más invernales, los estudiantes podrán tener un recreo al aire libre, por lo que deberán vestirse apropriadmente. Quiero recordarles a todos que nuestro uniforme escolar es azul marino o pantalones de jean obscuros sin agujeros ni rasgaduras y un polo rojo, blanco, azul real o azul marino.

Mirando hacia el futuro, tenga en cuenta que la ventana magnet de GCS se abre en un par de semanas y, debido a que Murphey cerrará al final de este año escolar, me comunicaré con usted para brindarle el apoyo que sea necesario para preparar a su estudiante para el próximo año escolar.
