• Good evening, Washington families,

This is principal Paul Travers, with your weekly message.

I hope that everyone is having a wonderful winter break.  I hope that all of our Washingtonians have had an opportunity to spend time with friends and family and spend some time reading.

we are excited to get school started back on Wednesday, January 3 as a reminder our doors open at 7:25 for students to enter and instruction begins at 7:45. We begin the dismissal process at 2:30 PM.

As we transition back into our regular school schedule, please spend some time over the next few days getting back into a nightly routine with your Washingtonian. Starting tomorrow night, try gradually setting bedtime and morning routines slightly earlier. This will help our Washingtonians ease back into their schedule.

Your health and wellness check for this week is: Teach your child healthy ways to manage their stress, such as taking deep breaths, imagining their favorite place, or having conversations with a trusted person.

Looking ahead, we will have a school-based leadership team meeting on January 9th.

At Washington, we Honor Community, Show Excellence and Think Critically.

Have a great evening & happy new year!
