• Good evening, Washington Families,

This is principal Paul Travers with your weekly message.

Tomorrow, Monday, January 15th there will be no school in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

A huge shout out to our Wildcat Basketball team who won their basketball game yesterday with a score of 13 to 6.

On Tuesday, January 16th our School Based Leadership Team will meet at 3:00pm in the media center.

Also, starting on Tuesday our 2nd graders will head to the pool to participate on the Learn to Swim program.

This week our we will begin Middle of the Year DIBELS testing for all students.

On Friday, our 3rd and 5th graders will be taking their 2nd Math Interim Assessment. Friday is also the last day of the 2nd quarter.

Your weekly health and wellness tip for this week is: Kids are more likely to be active if they're having fun. Try incorporating games, activities, and challenges into their everyday routine. For example, have a family dance party, play a game of tag, or go for a hike in the park.

As a reminder, Monday, January 22nd is a teacher workday. There will be no school for students on this day.

At Washington we Honor Community, Show Excellence and Think Critically, have a great evening and I’m looking to get 1% Better Every Day this week.
