• Good evening, Washington Families,

This is principal Paul Travers with your weekly message.

Congratulations to our Wildcat Basketball team. They won their game in a dominate performance, with a score of 22 to 7. Our Wildcats will be back in action next Saturday.

As a reminder, I would like to invite all our Washington families to an important meeting related to the Montessori program at Washington and how upcoming changes will impact our school in the 2024-2025 school year. This meeting will be held tomorrow, Monday, January 8 at 6 p.m. in the media center. Light refreshments will be available.

On Tuesday and Wednesday of this week our 2nd graders will be taking the GoGAT Test.

On Friday, January 12th, our 3rd 4th, and 5th graders will be taking their ELA interim assessment. Also, on Friday our Washingtonians will be able to shop the PBIS store.

Your Health and Wellness tip for this week is: To support your child’s social wellness, try finding local volunteering opportunities that kids can participate in together. This could be anything from reading stories to elderly people online to helping out at an animal shelter. It's a great way to give back to the community and bond over a shared purpose.

Looking ahead, there will be no school next Monday in observance of MLK Day. Nest week, our 2nd graders will participate in the Learn to Swim program and the end of the 2nd quarter is January 19th .

As Washington we Honor Community, Show Excellence, and Think Critically.

Have a great evening, and let’s get 1% Better Every Day.
