• Good evening, Washington families,

This is principal Paul Travers with your weekly message.

A huge shout out to our Wildcat Basketball team who won their last game of the season. It was great to see how much growth our Washingtonians have made over the season.

Tomorrow, Monday February 19th is the first day of tutoring for select 4th and 5th grade students. To participate in tutoring students must have completed their permission form.

On Wednesday, our SAS afterschool clubs are Hip-Hop Dance, Sign Language and Football. Also, on Wednesday, 3rd Quarter Interim Reports will go home

Thursday SAS clubs are Tiny Tastebuds, and Fairytales in Action.

On Friday, our Washingtonians will have a chance to shop the Wildcat Den and our 2nd grades will be taking a field trip to the Greensboro History Museum.

Your weekly Health and Wellness tip for this week is: Set rules and expectations for social media use before your kid makes their first account. Take time to learn about the platforms they use and how to stay safe. Keep an open conversation with your kids about social media, and make sure they know to bring concerns to an adult they trust.

Looking ahead Spring Class pictures are on February 27th and March 5th is a Virtual Learning Day due to our school being a testing sight.

At Washington we Honor Community, Show Excellence, and Think Critically.

Have a great evening, and I look forward to getting 1% Better Every Day this week.
