Good evening, Washington Families,
This is principal Paul Travers with you weekly message.
Mark your calendars for our PTO Skate Night this Saturday, from 3:30pm – 6:00pm at Skateland USA on Church Street.
Shout out to our Wildcat Basketball team who made it to the semi-finals in their basketball tournament at Rankin Elementary School this past Saturday.
Tomorrow, Monday, March 11th a Battle of the Books author will be visiting our Battle of the Book team. Our golf pathway will be going to the Gillespie Park Golf Course afterschool for golf lessons, and we will have after school tutoring for select 4th and 5th grade students.
On Tuesday, our golf pathway will be going to the Gillespie Park Golf Course afterschool for golf lessons, and we will have our School Based Leadership Team Meeting at 3:00pm on Microsoft Teams.
Wednesday, March 13th our SAS afterschool clubs are Sign Language and Hip-Hop Dance. Wednesday will be the first day of flag football practice at 5:30 at Proehlific Park.
Thursday, March 14th we will have afterschool tutoring for select 4th and 5th grade students. Thursday will also be the last day of SAS clubs. The clubs that will meet on this day are Tiny Tastebuds and Fairytales in Action.
On Friday, our 3rd and 4th graders students will be taking their 3rd and final Math Interim Assessment. Students will be able to shop the Wildcat Den and some of our 3rd – 5th grade students will be going to the PBIS celebration.
Your Weekly Health and Wellness tips for this week is: Reducing waste is a powerful step! Plan meals and conquer leftovers: Plan your meals for the week to avoid impulse purchases and food waste. Get creative with leftovers - transform them into new dishes!
Looking ahead, we will have Field Day for Prek-2nd grades on March 20th and our 3rd – 5th grade Field Day will be on March 21st.
