• Good evening, Washington Families,

This is principal Paul Travers with your weekly message.

We would like to thank our PTO for organizing an amazing Skate Night yesterday. Many of our Washingtonians came out and got moving!

Tomorrow, Monday, March 18th, our Conservation Pathway will be taking a field trip to the Proximity Hotel. Our golf pathway will be going to Gillespie Park after school for golf lessons.

We will also have after-school tutoring for select 4th and 5th grade students.

On Tuesday, our 4th and 5th grade students will have a Career Fair.

On Wednesday, March 20th, our 3rd and 4th graders will be taking a field trip to the Symphony and will have Field Day for our PreK-2nd grade students. Please send your prek-2nd grade students’ school with a water bottle, closed-toe shoes and appropriate clothing for physical activity. Additionally, our golf pathway will be going to Gillespie Park after school for golf lessons.

On Thursday, March 21st, we will have after-school tutoring for select 4th and 5th grade students, and it will be Field Day for our 3rd – 5th grade students. Please send your 3rd – 5th graders to school with closed-toe shoes, a water bottle and appropriate clothing for physical activity. Also, on Thursday we will have our SAS Showcase at 5pm in the cafeteria.

This Friday we will celebrate Arbor Day with a special Arbor Day program and students will have the opportunity to plant trees around our campus.

Your Weekly Health and Wellness Tip for this week is:  Talk openly about money with your child, even if it's about challenges you face. This normalizes financial discussions and creates a safe space for them to ask questions.

Looking ahead, this Friday is the end of the 3rd quarter and school will be closed next week for Spring Break.

At Washington We Honor Community, Show Excellence, and Think Critically.

Have a great evening, and I’m looking forward to us getting 1% Better Every Day this week!
