Good evening, Washington Families,
This is principal Paul Travers with your Weekly Message.
Wednesday, April 3rd will mark our 150th Destination Wednesday. To help us celebrate this special occasion, students will be able to participate in our 150th Destination Wednesday Contest. Three lucky students will get an exclusive chance to visit our 150th destination and go live with me during the Morning Announcements!
Hers is how to enter the contest:
- Capture your Spring Break adventures! During your break, record a short video showcasing a place you visit.
- Upload your video in the comments on Facebook or send it to me directly at 336.690.3921. (Make sure to have a parent or guardian help you with this step.)
- Start your video with a greeting! Say "Good morning (afternoon or evening), Washingtonians, welcome back to another great day at Washington. I am coming to you live from..." and then tell us about your location!
The more creative, the better! We can't wait to see where all our Washingtonians explore during Spring Break.
Good luck! Winners will be announced on Sunday, March 31st, so stay tuned!
Your Weekly Health and Wellness Tip for this week is: Take Notice of the “Wins”. It is important to pause daily and take time to notice your “wins”. Take some time daily to write down 3 things you accomplished. You can use a piece of paper, a journal, or a phone app. Make a habit of this, and you’ll find that your brain loves the reward!
As you settle into your Spring Break routine, be sure to include 30 minutes of reading for our Washingtonians every day.
As a reminder, school will resume for students on Tuesday, April 2nd.
At Washington we Honor Community, Show Excellence, and Think Critically.
Have a great Spring Break and get 1% Better Every Day.
