• Good evening, Washington Families,

This is Principal Paul Travers with your Weekly Message.

It was wonderful seeing so many of you at our promotion ceremonies last week. I want to thank all of you for making this school year a success. Together we are making a positive impact on the lives of so many, and I look forward to making an even greater impact next year.

It was fantastic to see so many of our Washingtonians at the Greensboro Grasshoppers game today!

Students who will be retaking the EOG will arrive tomorrow at our normal school hours. Students may enter the building at 7:25 AM and instruction will begin at 7:45 AM. On Tuesday, students will be retaking their EOGs. It is important that all students coming to school tomorrow and Tuesday are present and on time.

Families, if your Washingtonian has medication at the school, please come to the building to pick it up. All medication not picked up by a certain date will be discarded.

Your Weekly Health and Wellness Tip for this week is: Even though summer means no school bells, a loose schedule can help kids stay healthy and happy. Having a consistent wake-up time, even on lazy days, helps regulate your body's natural sleep-wake cycle. This means you'll fall asleep easier at night and feel more energized during the day for all those summer adventures!

At Washington we Honor Community, Show Excellence, and Think Critically.

Have a great evening and enjoy your summer.
