• Good evening, Washington families,

This is Principal Paul Travers with your weekly message.

Mark your calendars for this Thursday, July 25th for the 1st movie of our Summer Movie Nights series. Bring the family out to Washington on the school lawn to watch Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie on the big screen and enjoy popcorn! Doors open at 7:30 pm, and the movie begins at 8:15 pm. All new kindergartners who come out this Thursday receive a free Washington T-shirt and a kindergarten readiness bag. If you have any incoming kindergartners starting school this year, please come out! We will have information about registration ready for you.

Mark your calendars for August 22nd at 5:30pm for Open House. This is an opportunity for students and their families to come to the building, meet their teachers, and learn more about our school.

As a reminder student who read (or are read to) for at least 600 minutes over summer break will receive a free ticket to one Kersey Valley Attraction (valid for general admission to Maize Adventure, Spooky Woods, or Kersey Valley Christmas). Minutes must be recorded in Beanstack by Friday, August 30th, to be eligible. Students can access Beanstack through the GCS Beanstack Landing Page by finding our school, entering their student ID number and eight-digit birthday, or by logging into Clever.com/in/GCS.

At Washington, we honor community, show excellence, and think critically. Have a great evening and continue enjoying your summer!
