Good evening, Washington families,
This is Principal Paul Travers with your weekly message.
Thank you to all the Washingtonians who came out to our first Summer Movie Night. We can't wait to see more of you out this week. This week’s Summer Movie Nights Series will be showing Kung Fu Panda 4. We will begin at 6pm and with fun and games on the top court. The Greensboro Police Department will be providing a hot dog dinner for all in attendance. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs to setup in the cafeteria. We will start the movie at 7:00pm.
Please visit our school’s Facebook page or Instagram page to view the supply list for this school year.
Mark your calendars for August 22nd at 5:30pm for Open House. This is an opportunity for students and their families to come to the building, meet their teachers, and learn more about our school.
As a reminder, students who read (or are read to) for at least 600 minutes over summer break will receive a free ticket to one Kersey Valley Attraction (valid for general admission to Maize Adventure, Spooky Woods, or Kersey Valley Christmas). Minutes must be recorded in Beanstack by Friday, August 30th, to be eligible. Students can access Beanstack through the GCS Beanstack Landing Page by finding our school, entering their student ID number and eight-digit birthday, or by logging into Clever.com/in/GCS.
At Washington, we honor community, show excellence, and think critically. Have a great evening and continue enjoying your summer!
