Mrs. Cassandra Dorsey

I am Cassandra Dorsey and I am excited about being at Mendenhall Middle School this year. The 2024 - 2025 school year will mark my 18th year as a School Counselor in Guilford County Schools. I am a proud alumna of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University where I obtained two Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Romance Languages as well as a Masters of School Counseling - AGGIE PRIDE! While at A&T, I sang in the Gospel Choir and I was a member of the Blue and Gold Marching Machine . During my tenure, I became a member of Tau Beta Sigma National Honorary Band Sorority, Incorporated. While at A&T, I met my husband, Kevin, and we have been married for 20 years. I am also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.  I have one son, Khai. I adore going to A&T football, baseball and basketball games. I also love spending time with my family, attending my son's baseball and football games, traveling, bike riding and watching television. 

 I love kids and I am invested in their social-emotional wellbeing and assisting them with becoming the best well-rounded individuals that they can possibly be. I am so excited to be here and I can't wait to work with the scholars, staff, families and community that surrounds Mendenhall Middle School.
