 This is Principal Paul Travers with your weekly message.

 We can wait to see you out this Thursday evening for our final Summer Movie Nights of the summer. , we will be showing the movie Elemental. We will begin at 6pm and with fun food science experiments for dinner. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs to setup in the cafeteria. We will start the movie at 7:00pm.

 Mark your calendars for August 22nd at 5:30pm for Open House. This is an opportunity for students and their families to come to the building, meet their teachers, and learn more about our school.

 You will receive a phone call Thursday notifying you of your Washingtonians class assignments for the 2024-2025 school.

 Your weekly Health and Wellness Tip for this week is: Help your child ease back into the school year sleep schedule by starting to adjust their bedtime this week. Even small changes, like moving bedtime 15 minutes earlier each night, can make a big difference in their ability to fall asleep and wake up refreshed.

 As a reminder student who read (or are read to) for at least 600 minutes over summer break will receive a free ticket to one Kersey Valley Attraction (valid for general admission to Maize Adventure, Spooky Woods, or Kersey Valley Christmas). Minutes must be recorded in Beanstack by Friday, August 30th, to be eligible. Students can access Beanstack through the GCS Beanstack Landing Page by finding our school, entering their student ID number and eight-digit birthday, or by logging onto Clever.com/in/GCS.
