It is with excitement and eagerness that I introduce myself as your Assistant Principal! I am ecstatic for an exciting year of gaming and robotics that will create innovative pathways for all of our students.
My name is Shannon Suggs, and I am a proud product of Guilford County Schools, where I attended all years K-12. I hold a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Winston-Salem State University, a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Northcentral University and a graduate certificate in School Leadership from Appalachian State University. My time in education has afforded me experiences on all levels, including being a kindergarten teacher assistant, second grade teacher, third grade teacher and sixth grade science teacher, all with Guilford County Schools. I have also served as Curriculum Facilitator for both Asheboro City Schools and Guilford County Schools. Most recently, I am a current Assistant Principal within Guilford County Schools. I am a wife, mother and a lover of music.
My belief is that every child should be given the tools to succeed so that they can become world changers. I am excited to embark on the journey of academics, gaming and robotics with you. We can and will succeed! Do not hesitate to reach out to me for any reason so that I can support you in any way. The 2024-2025 school year will be one for the record books!
