Good evening, Washington families.
This is Principal Paul Travers with your weekly message. We're off to a great start to the school year.
As a reminder, please do not call the front office after 1:50 PM. This helps ensure the safe dismissal of all our students. If you need to change your child's transportation arrangements, please call before 1:50 PM.
The Open House initially scheduled for September 11th has been postponed. Please stay tuned for more information.
Our Parent Walkers will begin this week. We'll also continue conducting DIBELS assessments for all students this week. On Tuesday, September 10th our third graders will take the Beginning of Grade Assessment. This assessment provides us with valuable initial data about our students' academic progress.
On Tuesday at 3:00 PM in the Media Center, we'll hold our School-Based Leadership Team meeting.
Pathways information will be forthcoming this week. Students who participated in Pathways last year will remain in the same pathway unless there have been changes. A survey will be sent out to our Washingtonians this week.
Your Weekly Health and Wellness Tip for this week is: Spend time outdoors: Regular exposure to natural environments can reduce stress, improve mood, and boost overall well-being.
Looking ahead, Interim Reports will go home on September 26th.
At Washington, we Honor Community, Show Excellence, Think Critically, and Thrive Through Movement.
