• Good evening, Washington families.

    This is principal Paul Travers, with your weekly message.

     Our PTO has started a parent walker group called, The Washington Family Walkers. This group will meet on the track in the back of the school at the start of the school day. The goal will be to walk the track develop community and accountability for staying active. All are welcome.

     On Monday and Tuesday of this week, our golf pathway will head to Gillespie Park golf course after school to participate in the First Tee program.

     All of our Washingtonians will be taking their math NWEA assessment this week on the following days:

    Tuesday- 2nd Grade

    Wednesday – Kindergarten

    Thursday – 1st Grade

    Friday – 3rd – 5th Grades

     On Friday, our Washingtonians will be able to shop the Wildcat Den. They will purchase store items with their Washingtons earn for showing common area expectations.

     Your Weekly Health & Wellness tip for this week is: One simple change than can have a big impact is to repurpose items instead of throwing them away. For example, use old jars as containers or turn old clothes into rags.

    Looking ahead Interim Reports will go home on September 26th.

     Our school leadership team is happy to announce that we have rescheduled our Back-to-School event. Our Back-to-School event will be on the Mornings of :

    • October 1st for kindergarten and 1st grades
    • October 3rd for second and 3rd grades
    • October 4th for 4th and 5th grades

    This will be an opportunity for parents to come into the building at 7:45 for an introduction then head to classrooms at 8:00 to participate in Morning Movement with their Washingtonians.
