Good evening, Washington families,
This is principal Paul Travers with your weekly message. Thank you to all of our families who came out to Back-to- School Mornings. Our Washingtonians were so excited to have you join in on morning movement. We look forward to having you back sometime during the 2nd quarter.
This Saturday, October 12th our PTO will host the Sneaker Ball, from 4:30 pm-6:30 pm at Washington. We are looking forward to seeing our Washingtonians dressed up and sporting their favorite sneakers.
- On Monday and Tuesday of this week, our golf pathway will head to Gillespie Park golf course after school to participate in the First Tee program.
- On Tuesday, October 8th we will have our 3rd graders and a few of our 4th graders be taking the Read-to-Achieve test, and the School Based Leadership Team meeting at 3:00pm in the Media Center.
- On Friday, October 11th, our 3rd graders will be taking a field trip to the Greensboro Science Center and our 5th graders will be taking their Science Interim Assessment.
Your Weekly Health & Wellness tip for this week is: Prioritize Sleep: Aim for 7-9 hours: A good night's sleep is crucial for both physical and mental well-being.
Looking ahead, our 5th Graders will take their Math Interim Assessment on October 15th and October 18th is a Teacher Workday
At Washington, we Honor Community, Show Excellence, Think Critically, and Thrive Through Movement.
