Good evening, Washington families. This is Principal Paul Travers with your weekly message.
Thank you to all our Washingtonians who came out to our sneaker ball yesterday! It was a blast seeing so many of you dressed in your favorite attire and sporting your favorite sneakers.
This week is packed! Our first Pathway students will be heading to Gillespie Park after school on Monday and Tuesday. On Tuesday, our fifth graders will be taking the math interim assessment. Wednesday is Wear Orange Day, a day to unite against bullying. On Thursday, our 4th and 5th grade students will be taking a field trip to Guilford College. And this Friday is an optional teacher workday, so there will be no school for students.
Your weekly health and wellness tip: Track your money to see where it goes. Use a notebook or app to keep track of how much you earn and spend. This helps you make smart choices with your money.
Looking ahead, on October 23rd, our 2nd and 1st graders will be taking a field trip to the Greensboro Science Center. And on October 24th, our third graders will take a field trip to UNCG.
At Washington we Honor Community, Show Excellence, Think Critically and Thrive Through Movement.
