Good evening, Washington families,
This is principal Paul Travers with your weekly message.
On Monday and Tuesday of this week our golf pathway will head to Gillespie Park Course to participate in the First Tee program.
Wednesday is Crazy Hair/Hat Day. Wild Hair Don't Care: But Always Care for Others. Wear your hair in a crazy style or wear a crazy hat.
On Wednesday, Kindergartners will be taking a field trip to the Greensboro Children’s Museum.
Also, on Wednesday our 1st, 3rd, and 5th graders will have vision screening.
On Thursday, our Washingtonians are invited to Dress like their favorite Children’s Story Book Character.
On Friday, our 1st graders will be taking a field trip to the Greensboro Children’s Museum. Friday is also the end of the 1st Quarter.
Your Weekly Health and Wellness Tip for this week is: Read labels: Pay attention to ingredient lists and nutrition facts. Look for foods with minimal processed ingredients and high amounts of fiber, protein, and healthy fats.
Looking ahead, next Monday and Tuesday are teacher workdays. There will be no school for students on November 4th and 5th of next week.
At Washington we Honor Community, Show Excellence, Think Critically, and Thrive Through Movement.
