• Good evening, Washington family.

This is Principal Paul Travers with your weekly message.

As a reminder, tomorrow, November 4th, and Tuesday, November 5th, are our teacher workdays. There will be no school for students on these days.

Tuesday is Election Day. Please be sure to make a plan to get out and vote.

On Wednesday, 5th grade students who have used their Washington Bucks to purchase the opportunity to paint pumpkins as part of our PBIS store will have that opportunity.

On Friday, our third graders will take their English Language Arts interim assessment. Friday is also the first day of our book fair.

Your weekly health and wellness tip for this week is: Make voting a family affair. Talk about the election, why voting matters, research candidates together, and discuss the issues that are important to you and your family.

With Thanksgiving just a few weeks away, we're excited to share that a community partner is willing to supply families with meals for Thanksgiving. A flyer was sent home in your Washingtonian's backpack last week. Please check their backpack for more information.

    Looking ahead:

    • There will be no school next Monday, November 11th, in observance of Veterans Day.
    • Our school-based leadership team will meet on November 12th.
    • On November 12th, many of our students will be going to the Swarm Day School game.
    • Please mark your calendars for November 14th for our first-quarter awards ceremony.
    • Report cards will also go home on November 14th.

At Washington, we Honor Community, Show Excellence, Think Critically, and Thrive Through Movement!
