• Good evening, Washington families,

This is Principal Paul Travers with your weekly message.

Tomorrow, November 11th, is Veterans Day. There will be no school for students. We are grateful for the service and sacrifices of all veterans. We are particularly thankful for our own staff members, Mr. Perkins, a United States Air Force veteran, and Mr. Davis, who serves in the Army Reserves.

The book fair will be held at Washington Elementary all week. Please send your child with exact change or set up an eWallet to make purchases.

On Tuesday, November 12th, the Leadership Team will meet at 3:00 PM in the Media Center. Additionally, our golf pathway students will head to Gillespie Park Golf Course for the First Tee program.

One Tuesday you are invited to participate in our PTO meeting at 6:00pm on Zoom. As reminder, all PTO fees are waived this year, and all are welcome.

Your Health and Wellness Tip for this week is: Encourage your child to express their feelings. Let them know it's okay to feel sad, angry, or confused. Encourage them to express their feelings in whatever way feels comfortable, whether it's through talking, drawing, writing, or playing.
