    This is my 26th year teaching!  I have taught Pre K, K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades throughout my career.  I have my Master's Degree and I earned my National Board Certification initially in 2007 and renewed my certificate a few years ago.  I feel children must have a safe and pleasant environment in order to learn and that every child should be encouraged to reach his/her greatest potential. 

    I am a New York City native.  I lived in Queens, NY until I married a Summerfield, NC native.  I taught in Harlem, NYC for 8 years before moving South. My husband and I have a fifteen-year-old daughter, two dachshunds, three cats, and an axolotl.  I enjoy swimming, scuba diving, traveling, and spending time with my family.  I am looking forward to working with your child this year.  I believe a child's parents and teachers must work as a team to ensure each child's success.
