    Exams

    State testing begins tomorrow, June 5th, and continues through June 9th. Students will be dismissed at 2:00pm (or when testing concludes that day). Early dismissals will not be permitted on these days per state testing policy. Families should plan accordingly around limited dismissal times. Outside of a few teacher-made exams, all exams are online, and students should come with a fully charged device and their charger for testing.

    Senior Updates

    Seniors, FAME is looking for you! This is a free job education program at GTCC created by Toyota. It provides a debt-free associate degree, hourly wage of $17/hour during training with a starting salary of $60,000 upon program completion. More information and application requirements are posted or see Mrs. Nelson for information.

    Graduation Practice is Wednesday, June 7th, at 3:00pm at the Greensboro Coliseum. 

    Senior Picnic is Wednesday, June 7th, after graduation practice from 5:30 to 8pm.

    Other Updates:

    Attention cheerleaders trying out for the 2023-2024 season who have turned in an application: please upload information into the dragonfly app. If you have any questions, please see Coach Francis.

    Summer football workouts begin on June 12th at 7:00am in the stadium. You must have a current physical and meet all eligibility requirements. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Bates.

    Volleyball Workouts are held every Monday and Wednesday from 4:45-6:15pm in the new gym. Stop by Ms. Currie’s room for any and all questions and follow the IG for updates @ sevarsityvball.

    Our FFA chapter is attending FFA Camp the week of July 31st-August 4th.  If you expressed interest in attending, please see Mrs. Clapp ASAP.

    Alamance Presbyterian Church is holding a blood drive on Wednesday, June 7th, from 2:00-6:30pm.  If interested, go to www.redcrossblood.org and enter the sponsor code: Alamance. All blood types needed! Thank you for Your Gift of Life!

    Juniors – the high school fire cadet program is accepting applications for the 2023-2024 school year. No experience is necessary. GTCC and GCS want to develop a pipeline for future firefighters in Guilford County. Applications are available in the front office.  See Mrs. Nelson for more information.
