Whatever your role, the Department of Professional Learning and Leadership (PLL) is here to help support you with onboarding and retention programming, professional learning opportunities, leadership development and new teaching coaching.

Our Mission

The Guilford County Schools Professional Learning and Leadership (PLL) department as well as  is committed to supporting the learning and development of leaders, educators, and support personnel. The mission of the PLL department is to improve the educational outcomes of all students by developing and implementing rich, immersive, and researched-based professional learning, as well as in-field coaching experiences for both new and experienced GCS staff. The department supports the talent development of employees throughout all stages of their careers.

Opportunity Culture Initiative

The Opportunity Culture initiative aims to extend the reach of excellent teaches and their teams to more students, for more pay, while increasing on-the-job support for all teachers.
